Terms of use
These terms explain how you may use the IceGrid Outfitters website, store and night ice guides.
Please read them before you place an order or rely on any of our written routines on real ice.
1. Scope of these terms
These terms apply when you browse our website, read our guides, create an account or place an order with IceGrid Outfitters. By using the site, you confirm that you accept these terms and agree to follow them.
If you do not agree with the terms, please do not use the website or purchase products from us.
2. Using the website
You may use our site for personal, non-commercial purposes: reading safety guides, exploring kits and ordering gear for yourself or your group.
You agree not to misuse the site, for example by trying to break security, scraping large amounts of content, interfering with other users or using our pages in ways that could damage our systems.
3. Accounts and security
If you create an account, you are responsible for keeping your login details safe and for any activity carried out under your account. Tell us quickly if you believe someone else has gained access to your login details.
We may suspend or close accounts that are misused or used in a way that clearly breaks these terms.
4. Orders, prices and payment
When you place an order, you are making an offer to buy the selected products under these terms. We may accept or decline an order, for example if stock is not available or payment cannot be authorised.
Prices, available products and shipping options are shown on the site and may change from time to time. Any taxes, duties or import charges that apply in your country are your responsibility, unless we clearly state otherwise during checkout.
5. Shipping, delays and returns
We aim to ship orders within the time frames shown at checkout, but actual delivery times can depend on carriers, weather and other factors outside our direct control.
If you wish to return an item, please follow the instructions provided with your order confirmation or on our support page. Some products, such as used safety equipment or heavily worn clothing, may be excluded from returns where allowed by local law.
6. Safety guides and responsibility
Our guides describe general routines, ice numbers and patterns that many anglers find useful. They cannot cover every body of water, every weather pattern or every local rule.
Night fishing on ice is always risky. You are responsible for:
- checking local regulations and access rules;
- measuring ice thickness yourself on the day;
- deciding whether conditions match your skill, group and gear;
- choosing whether to go out at all and when to turn back.
Our guides are not professional rescue or weather advice. If there is any doubt about conditions, the safest option is not to go on the ice.
7. Content and intellectual property
The IceGrid name, logo, product descriptions, guide layouts, photos and diagrams are protected by copyright and other intellectual property rights.
You may print or save a reasonable number of pages for your personal use on trips. You may not copy, publish or sell our content as your own product, training material or guide collection without our written permission.
8. Prohibited uses
You agree that you will not use the site or any IceGrid content:
- for unlawful or fraudulent purposes;
- to share harmful, abusive, discriminatory or misleading material;
- to reverse engineer or bypass technical measures that protect the site;
- to build a competing store or guide service using our content.
9. Disclaimers and limitation of liability
We work hard to keep information accurate and the site available, but we cannot promise that every page will always be error-free or accessible at all times.
To the extent permitted by law, IceGrid Outfitters is not liable for:
- losses resulting from using our guides instead of measuring and judging conditions yourself;
- indirect or consequential losses, such as lost profit or missed trips;
- damage caused by events outside our reasonable control, such as extreme weather or network failures.
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability where that is not allowed under the law that applies to you.
10. Links to other sites
Our pages may include links to third-party websites, tools or resources. These are provided for your convenience. We do not control those sites and are not responsible for their content, terms or privacy practices.
11. Governing law
These terms are intended to work alongside the consumer protection and e-commerce rules that apply in your country or region. Where local mandatory law gives you stronger rights than these terms, those rights will continue to apply.
12. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time, for example when we add new features or change how the store works. When that happens, we will adjust the date at the bottom of the page and, if the change is significant, highlight it on the site.
